After the end of trial of the artificial intelligence platform Scite, KU has launched its subscription.
Access to Scite will be to the University community until April 2026.
Scite is a AI based platform for the searching for scientific information. It uses Smart Citations which help researchers analyze and evaluate the scientific information found by Scite. Smart Citations reveals the context of the quote and indicates whether the article confirms the statement found or refutes it.
The function Assistant Settings allows to ask questions in natural language (in Lithuanian as well). It helps to conduct literature reviews and search for topics for new research. Scite
provides answers based on the documents indexed in the system.
With the Scite Assistant, you can choose a time period, specify which types of publications to search for answers from, whether links to the most recent documents are necessary and should be included or not.
Scite can be used not only in the University network, but also at home. For this, it is necessary to create a personal account and provide your institutional email address (@ku.lt or @edu.ku.lt) when registering.
Scite is available directly https://scite.ai or via EZproxy https://ezproxy.biblioteka.ku.lt.
